Mobile Interpretation: making Public Histories with new digital technologies (2008-09). Funded by the Melbourne University Strategic Initiatives Grant (in collaboration with Hannah Lewi, Kate Darian-Smith, Wally Smith and Jon Pearce. The research is aimed at more holistic understanding and practice in the application of digital technology to the interpretation of public heritage and urban context.

Design in Context: Augmented Reality Technology to Improve the Quality and Performance of Architecture (2008-10). Funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Grants Program (in collaboration with Mark Billinghurst [Canterbury, New Zealand]). The research will investigate temporal aspects of designs, develop augmented reality tools to support temporal visualisation, and evaluate qualitative changes in design outcomes by adoption of AR tools.
