CRIDA 3D Stereo Projection Space features passive 3D stereo projection surface (4.6 x 2.7 mts.) at high definition resolution. This facility is funded by ARC Infrastructure grant and builds on the earlier Collaboratory for Architectural and Environmental Visualisation (CAEV) which supported a tiled projection surface of 7.2m (w) x 1.8m (h) comprising a 135 degree field of vision. Fabrication Lab
- 3D Laser Scanner (Roland LPX-600) supports both rotary and planar scanning of a wide variety of objects as large as 254mm (10") in diameter and 406.4 (16") mm in height. The output data can be readily imported in 3D modelling and visualisation applications.
- Laser Cutter (Universal Laser Systems X-660) with large workarea (80x45 cms) high production laser processing
- Card Cutter ()
- Foam Cutter ()
- 3D Printer (Solid Dimension SD300) desktop printer using plastic sheet lamination technique
- Video capture and editing workstations for use with digital/analog cameras, video editing software are available in computer labs.
- Open Access computer labs are available for undergraduate and postgradute students in the Faculty. The research students have separate access to shared offices and computing facilities.
- Printing and scanning facilities are available for A3/A4 size laser printing, paper and film scanning, up to A1 colour plot output.
